About Us

We wish you a heartfelt welcome to Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital. Established in 1974, the practice has grown to over 30 staff members. We have found that our clients generally regard their pets as members of the family. That’s great, because we feel the same way! We understand that your trust in us for your pet’s good health is a very special responsibility.

Owners of hospitalized animals receive daily reports and updates on the results of diagnostic procedures and treatments. We welcome calls from clients regarding hospitalized animals at any time during regular hospital hours.

Levels of Care

CPAH offers all levels of patient care, extending from preventive medicine (including annual exams, pet vaccinations, and senior health care) to surgical, dental and internal medicine cases.

Accolades

CPAH has received national recognition for excellence in veterinary medicine and practice. The Practice of Excellence Award is co-sponsored by Veterinary Economics, an international business and management magazine for veterinarians, and Pfizer Animal Health, a veterinary healthcare manufacturer. Judges praised our hospital for its strong client education materials and team atmosphere. During the eighth annual competition, judges chose 12 winners from the United States and Canada who will join a select list of 83 hospitals that have earned this distinction since 1994.

Our Standards

CPAH is among only 18% of animal care facilities in the nation certified by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). AAHA is the world’s leading association of companion animal practitioners. To achieve AAHA distinction, our hospital passed comprehensive inspections of our veterinary practice, management, facilities, and medical equipment. To keep up with the growing wealth of knowledge in veterinary care, our veterinarians and support staff participate in continuing education and training on a regular basis. We will continue to meet AAHA’s rigid standards to provide the highest quality medical and surgical care for your pets.

Appointments

To allow for sufficient time for all patients, doctors’ hours are scheduled by appointment. Walk-ins are worked in as soon as possible. Drop-offs are also welcome. If there is a short wait for your appointment, please understand we have the utmost respect for your time and regret delays.

We understand today’s hectic pace and do everything we can to make the care of your pet as efficient as possible.

Emergency Services

CPAH provides emergency service from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. We feel it is important to provide optimal patient care and monitoring during overnight hours when our hospital is not staffed, so all emergencies after 10:00 p.m. are referred to the Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Kansas City.

Charges for Services

The field of veterinary medicine has advanced rapidly, through increased medical and surgical technology, and preventive medicine. The cost of providing sophisticated treatment for your pet is determined accordingly. Unlike hospitals for humans, the facilities provided for your pet are the product of the private enterprise of the veterinarians.

Fees charged for services are based on amounts needed to maintain the high quality of care we are proud to provide. Payment is requested at the time service is rendered, unless prior arrangements have been made. Advanced deposits are required for most diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
