Our Doctors

All of our doctors have been active in local, state, and national professional organizations, including the Douglas County Veterinary Medical Association, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association. Our doctors feel that participation in organized veterinary medicine is an important responsibility and have all strived to participate as committee members or officers when possible. We also believe strongly in community involvement; our doctors participate in educational programs at local schools and colleges.

Dr. Lea Craig

Dr. Craig graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Canada in 2007. She then practiced at a small animal hospital in Toronto Ontario for three years. In July of 2010 Dr. Craig and her husband Adam moved to Lawrence Kansas. Shortly thereafter (October 2010) their first son, Henry, was born. Henry is now a very active one year old toddler! The Craig family also includes a boxer (Matilda) and two cats (Benny & Linus). In her spare time Dr. Craig enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and horse back riding.

Dr. Craig enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but has a special interest in preventative medicine, pain management, anesthesia and surgery. We are happy and fortunate to have Dr. Craig joining our Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital team in 2012!
