Our Doctors

All of our doctors have been active in local, state, and national professional organizations, including the Douglas County Veterinary Medical Association, Kansas Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association. Our doctors feel that participation in organized veterinary medicine is an important responsibility and have all strived to participate as committee members or officers when possible. We also believe strongly in community involvement; our doctors participate in educational programs at local schools and colleges.

Dr. Tom Liebl

Dr. Liebl earned his doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University in 1985. In 1985-86 he completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital in Springfield, Mass. After practicing in Framingham, Mass., for one year, he spent another three years in a small animal practice in Manhattan Beach, Calif. He joined the staff at CPAH in January of 1990. Dr. Liebl achieved Diplomate status of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Canine and Feline Practice) in 1994. Dr. Liebl comes from a family of veterinarians — his father, brother, and sister are all veterinarians.

He, his wife Kim, and three children (Brecken, Parker, and McKenzie), have a long-haired Dachshund named Tori. Tom and Kim are active in Corpus Christi church where Tom is hospitality minister. Dr. Liebl’s time away from the hospital includes family activities, fishing, and ultra endurance mountain bike racing.
