Our Staff

The staff at Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital is our greatest asset. Everyone at CPAH is dedicated to helping pet owners understand their pets and learn about preventive health care maintenance. All staff at CPAH are pet owners, pet lovers, and dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for you and your pet.

Continual training and monthly staff meetings keep the staff focused on client service, updates in medicine and diagnostics, and new products. The staff is continually challenging themselves and other team members to improve daily procedures, quality of care, record keeping, and devotion to animal comfort and well-being.

Hospital Manager

Netta

Netta joined CPAH in 2002 and enjoys the many aspects of working with staff, doctors, clients and patients. She and her husband Mike have three children — Katie attends KU, Chris and Cydney live in California with their spouses — and six grandchildren. The furry family members are Rosie, an affectionate tri-color English Cocker Spaniel, and Xena, a mild-mannered grey and black tabby. Netta enjoys hiking, gardening and traveling.

Receptionists

Our receptionists are primarily responsible for interacting with clients as well as maintaining our vast medical record system. While many of our veterinary assistants provide support in these responsibilities, our receptionists are often the voice you will hear on the phone and the first face you will see when you enter our hospital.

Anna

Anna was welcomed back as part of the CPAH staff in 2008 — she had worked in the kennel while attending school several years earlier. Her desire to help animals and people is a perfect compliment for the veterinary hospital. She enjoys working with and being around animals. Some of her interests include riding and showing horses, being around family and friends, and being outdoors.

Emily

Emily joined Clinton Parkway in 2010. She enjoys her coworkers-especially Jackson! She also attends KU full time, and is pursuing a degree in History and Psychology. Emily has 1 cat at home named Tinkerbelle. In her spare time, Emily likes to read, watch KU basketball, shop, and go to her favorite restaurants-the Olive Garden , El Mezcal, and IHOP.

Linda

Linda joined CPAH in 1995 and has an uncanny way of getting people to laugh and and an ability to brighten their day. She and husband Mike have two children and one grandson. They also have two cats, Sammie and Ellie, who don the lion cut hair-do. Linda enjoys Canadian fishing trips, cooking, scrapbooking and card making, and of course, KU basketball.

Melinda

Melinda has been with CPAH for almost 16 years. That makes her close to being a founding member of the CPAH family. Affectionately known as “Mel,” she and husband JR have two children and two granddaughters, Rylee and Jaycee. They also have three boxers: Bubba, Maggie and Stella. In her spare time, Melinda enjoys being outdoors, watching sports and spending time with her grandkids.

Veterinary Technicians

At Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital, we are very fortunate to have three Certified Veterinary Technicians. In addition to receiving their degrees in Veterinary Technology, they have taken and passed the certifying test which signifies a level of expertise in their field. Our technicians provide primary patient care as well as medical, surgical, anesthetic, and diagnostic assistance to our veterinarians. Our technicians are very knowledgeable and able to assist our doctors in providing a significant amount of education to our clients.

Nicole

Nicole joined our staff in 2002. She graduated with a Veterinary Technician degree from Maple Woods Community College in 2008, and also has a B.S. in athletic training from The University of Kansas. Her previous experience at CPAH included working in the kennel and as a veterinary assistant. Her compassion for animals is one of her greatest assets. She and Cote, her husband, have three pets: Buckley (a Shepherd-mix) and two cats, P.K. and Penelope. In her spare time she enjoys playing ultimate Frisbee, watching movies and playing with Buckley.

Jen

Jen joined our staff in 2008. She graduated with a Veterinary Technician degree from Maple Woods Community College in 2008. Caring for pets is her passion and she has known from a very young age that that is what she wanted to do as her career. She lives in Baldwin City with her German Shepherd Addison and her two cats Rusty and Dexter. Jen enjoys fishing, reading, and spending time with her pets, family, and friends.

Kennel Supervisor

Joni

Joni joined CPAH in 2007, as the Kennel Supervisor. She and her husband Joey have two sons, Michael and Gabriel. Don’t be fooled by their names — she tells us they’re not always angels. Joni has a great sense of humor and a special gift for working with animals. She enjoys camping and playing sports with her family. She also enjoys caring for her little farm that consists of three cats, two dogs, seven chickens and one mean goose.

Groomer

Ashley

Ashley has been with Clinton Parkway Animal Hospital since October 2004. Her love of animals inspired her to attain her grooming certification. She has been grooming cats and dogs at CPAH since 2006. Ashley and her husband Kevin enjoy KU sports, movies and traveling. They have two furry children cats; Hey Jude and Rocky Raccoon.
